HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS
Paragon Tv will be the site for all the high school basketball action tonight across Western Oklahoma. There are four doubleheaders on the docket this evening. AB plays host to FCB, Canute heads up to Leedey, Cheyenne-Reydon will travel to Sentinel, and Erick’s at Sweetwater. You can catch all the action live tonight on paragontv.com. Girls games will tip at 6:30 with the boys to follow around 8
COLLEGE FOOTBALL
The second set of rankings from the college football playoff committee will be released here in a little bit. Oregon figures to stay number 1. How far will Miami fall after their first loss of the season to Georgia Tech? How much of a bump will we see for Alabama beating LSU and Ole MIss smothering Georgia? Will we see 4 Big 10 teams in the top 6, top 8? We’re still three weeks away from the regular season ending and conference championsip games being set, but the 12 team bracket is beginning to take shape with the week to week results. It looks like if you’re not a fan of the Big 10 or the SEC you’re going to have to win your league to get a bid.
NBA HOOPS
The Ok City Thunder were able to hold on last night in their first game without Chet Holmgren for a while. OKC’s 3rd of 6 straight home games saw the Clippers in town. The Thunder outscored the Clips 134-128 to improve to 9-2 so far this season. Shai Gilgeous Alexander set a career high with 45 points on 13-21 shooting. Jalen Williams complimented SGA with 28 of his own on an 11/16 shooting night. OKC gets tonight off before the Pelicans come to town tomorrow night.
NFL WEEK 10
Week 10 of the NFl schedule wrapped up last night. It all started with a barn burner on Thursday in which the Ravens held off the Bengals 35-34. Carolina outlasted the Giants 20-17 in OT. Kansas City blocked a field goal to beat Denver 16-14, The Steelers topped the Commanders 28-27, Minnesota clipped Jacksonville 12-7, New Orleans edged Atlanta 20-17, The Niners kicked a field goal to beat Tampa 23-20, Buffalo handled Indy 30-20, New England sacked Chicago 19-3, The Chargers beat up on the Titans 27-17, Philly humiliated Dallas 34-6, Arizona grounded the Jets 31-6, Detroit came back to beat Houston 26-23, and last night Miami got past the Rams 23-15. Division leaders in the AFC include the Bills, Steelers, and undefeated Chiefs. Division leaders in the NFC are the Eagles, Lions, and Cardinals.
