An Indiana man is wanted in Custer County after being charged with eluding in Clinton.

According to court records, a warrant for the arrest of 35-year-old Ronald Dale Taylor of Anderson, Indiana was issued on February 7 after receiving the charge.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a Trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol attempted to pull Taylor over for a defective brake light when Taylor accelerated from US-183 onto Neptune Road in Clinton, going as fast as 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.

The pursuit would take the vehicles to an RV park, where there Taylor would exit his vehicle and began to run.

Due to two other individuals in the vehicle, the Trooper chose to end his pursuit in order to detain those individuals and to search the car.

After interviewing the two in the car, Troopers were able to identify Taylor as being the driver. Taylor had been arrested in Custer County in the past and authorities were familiar with him. It was also discovered that one of the passengers was wanted in McIntosh County on a felony charge.

That woman was later arrested and the car was released to the second passenger.

During their investigation, Troopers determined that the fleeing suspect, Taylor, may be residing at an apartment in Weatherford.

As of press time he has not been arrested.
