A Los Angeles man was arrested in Beckham County late last month after being found with various illegal narcotics during a traffic stop on Interstate 40.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 60-year-old Eric Michael Tucker was pulled over for a simple traffic violation on the afternoon of June 20 in Beckham County near mile marker 38 in Elk City.

During the process of the traffic stop, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper noted the smell of burnt marijuana and observed the defendant as being nervous, even after being told he was just receiving written warning.

Later the Trooper would request a K9 unit to inspect the vehicle, which the dog did and alerted on the vehicle to the possible presence of narcotics.

The affidavit stated that after a search of the vehicle, Troopers would find a twenty pound bag of methamphetamine, a 2.42 pound bag of heroin, and a 1.33 pound bag of cocaine.

Tucker was charged with three felony counts of aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs.

Bond was set at $250,000.
