A Weatherford man died Wednesday after being involved in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 40.
According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-40 near mile marker 83 in Custer County just after 3:30 p.m. when the 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by 41-year-old Richard Leger departed the road to the left at a curn, struck a traffic sign then the cable barrier in the median.
OHP said Leger pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision.
Troopers said both the cause of the wreck and the condition of the driver are under investigation.
