Weatherford, OK – Longtime Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) benefactor Dobson Fiber will serve as the Official Title Sponsor of the 2025 Everett Dobson Bulldog Golf Classic.
The Dobson Bulldog Golf Classic began in 2015 to benefit the SWOSU golf team and other SWOSU athletic programs. The tourney will be played April 28, 2025, on the prestigious Oak Tree National in Edmond. Teams will begin the morning with breakfast, followed by a scramble-style tournament.
“Dobson Fiber’s continued and generous support for this signature event allows us to raise much-needed funds for the golf team and some of our other athletic programs,” said SWOSU Athletic Director Todd Helton.
Dobson Fiber owns and operates a 6,500+ mile regional fiber-optic network and provides high-speed internet and voice over internet telephone solutions to residential and business customers in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. Dobson Fiber is an Oklahoma-based and privately owned telecommunications company.
Mr. Everett Dobson serves as Executive Chairman of Dobson Fiber and is the owner of Oak Tree National. Dobson is a 1981 SWOSU graduate who was inducted into the SWOSU Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 1999. He has endowed the Everett Dobson Chairs in Business, Marketing, Management, and Finance in the Everett Dobson School of Business & Technology at SWOSU and provided the private investment necessary to construct the Everett Dobson Golf Training Facility on SWOSU’s Weatherford campus. In 2015, Dobson was inducted into the SWOSU Presidential Order of Merit in recognition of his 25 years of service on the SWOSU Foundation, Inc. Board of Trustees, where he served as Investment Committee Chair.
