#5 – THE Matt Randolph

 

Matthew Randolph was born in 1974 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. As a young child he moved to Sayre, Oklahoma where he grew up and graduated high school where he was a student athlete. After high school Matt briefly attended college studying education while working in the oil and gas industry as a roughneck on a drilling rig. In 1994 he left school and had decided to make the oil and gas industry his career, he is still in the industry today after 27 years and is highly accomplished in his field, he works for Shell Exploration and holds many titles and roles including an SME role and a Diversity and Inclusion Focal role. At the age of 42 he did go back and finish college and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Matt and his wife Chelsea live in Elk City, Oklahoma where she is a successful realtor and they operate a real estate investment company as well. They have six children ages range from 23 to 4 years. Matt decided to write his first book, A Killers Heart in 2009 and wrote the first draft in under two weeks. He put the book away and would go back to it every year or two and do a full rewrite. Ten years later he finally decided enough was enough after a fourth rewrite and published it.
