SBA Offers Disaster Loans for Businesses in Collingsworth, Wheeler, Beckham, Ellis & Roger Mills Counties

Sacramento, CA – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced low-interest federal disaster loans are now available to small businesses and private nonprofit organizations in parts of Texas and Oklahoma affected by extreme heat and winds from June 1 through December 31, 2024.

This includes Collingsworth and Wheeler Counties in Texas and Beckham, Ellis, and Roger Mills Counties in Oklahoma.

These SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are intended to help cover working capital needs caused by the disaster. This includes paying fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other bills that could not be paid due to the economic impact. The loans are available even if no physical damage occurred.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Small businesses

  • Small agricultural cooperatives

  • Most private nonprofits

  • Aquaculture enterprises

(Agricultural producers, farmers, and ranchers not involved in aquaculture are not eligible.)

Loan terms:

  • Up to $2 million

  • Interest rates as low as 4% for businesses and 3.25% for nonprofits

  • Terms up to 30 years

  • No interest or payments required for the first 12 months
