Fatal Crash Claims Life of Arapaho Woman in Custer County

Custer County, OK – A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday morning, April 15, 2025, at approximately 9:32 a.m. on OK-47 and N 2310 Road, about seven miles west of Thomas, Oklahoma, in Custer County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 77-year-old Pamela S. Roush of Arapaho was driving a 2023 Ford Expedition eastbound on OK-47 when the vehicle gradually veered off the roadway to the left for nearly 250 feet before striking a culvert.

Roush was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was transported by Hometown Funeral Home to their facility in Clinton before being transferred to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City.

Investigators report the vehicle was equipped with seatbelts, but they were not in use at the time of the crash. The cause of the collision and the condition of the driver remain under investigation.
