Arrest Made in Connection to Sexual Assault in Elk City

Elk City, OK – The Elk City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has arrested a 19-year-old suspect in connection with a reported sexual assault that occurred during the week of Thanksgiving. The incident was reported on December 3, 2024. Detectives identified the suspect and determined his location.

On January 10, 2025, Elk City Detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in Altus. During the search, evidence was seized, and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect, identified as Andrew Alekzander Martinez of Altus, was transported to the Beckham County Detention Center.

Martinez was charged on January 10 in Beckham County District Court with two counts of first degree rape, one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, and one count of coliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.

Bond for Martinez was set at $50,000. His next court date is scheduled for February 24, 2025.

Along with The Elk City Police Department, the District III Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations Detachment 422, and the OSBI Crimes Information Unit assisted in the investigation and arrest of the suspect.
